Patricia Preciado was born and raised in Miami, Florida.
Mrs. Preciado attended FIU for her undergraduate studies where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Minor in Political Science in 2008. She then continued to FIU College of Law, becoming a double panther, and obtaining her Juris Doctor degree in 2011. During her time in law school, Mrs. Preciado interned at the Legal Clinic with the Education Advocacy Project in 2009, and then interned at Legal Aid of Broward County in their Special Education Project in 2010-2011 via the Florida Bar Public Service Fellowship Program.
Mrs. Preciado began practicing law at a first party property firm in Miami, Florida representing homeowners, and gained invaluable knowledge regarding the intricacies of insurance policies. She then represented insurance companies for eight years and headed the First Party Property Department at a prominent Florida law firm. During those eight years, she presented at various conferences and had articles published addressing varying nuances in insurance policies and the law.
Ultimately, at ten years of practicing law, Mrs. Preciado decided to go back to her beginnings and returned to the policyholder side – assisting homeowners in obtaining recovery for their insurance claims pursuant to the coverage available in their insurance policies.
